The disadvantage in open loop-type of hall current sensor is that it largely depends on the qualities of magnetic substance. Therefore, high quality silicon steel has been used so far by considering the temperature or saturation characteristics. However, in order to accommodate the ever increasing current system frequencies, it is required to escape from having to rely on the magnetic properties and to introduce the concept of ˇ®zero flux' through configuring closed circuit.
This is possible by x N turning current to make the output current the same as the measured current. This result is produced by not relying on the properties of magnetic substance and has the advantage of significantly enhancing frequency bandwidth, response level and temperature change, which is the weakness of ferrite systems, permalloy systems and amorphous silicon substances.
The closed loop-type current sensor of Korea Sensor is an outstanding product created in over 2 years of full scale development period with the unique technologies of Korea Sensor on the basis of our long-term experiences of manufacturing open loop-type circuits. Korea Sensor's closed loop-type current sensor underwent the courses of comparing/ analyzing various testing data on the same products from both domestic and overseas locations and thorough modification.
The output current signal of the closed loop-type maintains outstanding linearity and temperature level. However, the changes in resistance for voltage conversion are not included in the electric properties of the current sensor. Therefore, although it is recommended to use temperature compensated current ? voltage conversion circuit for further outstanding signal interpretation, using of rated resistance with low error rate and temperature characteristic is also recommended in case resistance in design is inevitable.
